Glen-Gery Brick

Modular Bayhill

Caledonia Medalia Collection

  • Extruded brick is created by forcing a mixture of clay and water into a die, then cutting the resulting column into shorter units with wires before firing. This results in a sturdy, visually pleasing brick product that's great for a wide range of applications. Glen-Gery extruded bricks are available in a variety of textures, with Bayhill coming in a papercut finish.

  • The modular version of this brick has a thickness of 3-1/2", a height of 2-1/4" and a length of 7-5/8".

Lime-coated bricks create a stunning range of colors, including blue/gray, dark gray, tan, white, and light yellow tones, with variations occurring even within a single production run. These color differences are a result of lime’s sensitive nature, and consumers should expect some inconsistency between production runs, though the final product will generally fall within the sampled color range. Additionally, factors such as jobsite conditions, moisture exposure, and cleaning techniques can influence the appearance of the brick. While lime-coated bricks improve over time as the lime reacts with the environment, they require careful handling. Glen-Gery recommends no traditional masonry clean-downs, advising against cleaning unless absolutely necessary, and emphasizes using a complementary mortar color. To achieve the best aesthetic result, it’s advised that masons blend bricks from multiple cubes when laying the wall.
